The military claimed to have killed a senior member of Hezbollah's intelligence department.

On September 29, Jinshi Data reported that on September 28, the Israeli army announced that it had killed Hassan Khalil Yassin, a senior member of Hezbollah's intelligence department, in a targeted attack in the southern suburbs of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. The Israeli army claimed that Yassin had closely cooperated with Hezbollah's rocket, missile, and drone forces. Since the outbreak of the new round of Israeli-Palestinian conflict last year, he has directly participated in and planned attacks against Israel, and planned more attacks in the coming days. The Israeli army also claimed that as a senior member of Hezbollah's intelligence department, Yassin led an intelligence work group whose main task was to identify and locate military and civilian locations within Israel as targets for attacks.
