## Q1. Could you please provide us with some personal background?
I began my journey with crypto in 2014, attempting <a href="/price/bitcoin-btc" target="_blank" class="blog_inner_link">Bitcoin</a> mining, though it didn't go as planned. Despite this setback, it ignited my fascination with blockchain technology. While continuing in traditional tech roles, I delved deeper into crypto, transitioning to full-time involvement by 2016.

Initially, I contributed to various blockchain projects, including decentralized GPS initiatives like what projects like HiveMapper now embody. Later, I joined SOSV, a prominent American venture capital fund with a significant footprint in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Witnessing the exponential growth of derivatives trading in crypto and the widespread adoption of crypto for financial inclusion in Asia inspired us to create ZKX. Our goal was to develop a decentralized derivatives trading platform, accessible to all.

## Q2. Can you give us an overview of ZKX?
ZKX is a gamified derivatives trading platform on <a href="/price/ethereum-eth" target="_blank" class="blog_inner_link">Ethereum</a> and StarkNet, designed to transform trading into a social experience. Traditional trading terminals often lack interactivity, offering static charts and widgets.

We aim to change that by introducing fun and engaging elements such as trading competitions. Our long-term vision is to develop a DeFi platform and protocol capable of rivaling centralized exchanges. Over the past three years, we've invested heavily in infrastructure to support this goal. Today, I look forward to discussing more about our journey and achievements.

## Q3. I have noticed that the ZKX Exchange offers some features that other exchange platforms do not. What distinguishes ZKX from all the others?
When we set out to compete with centralized exchanges within the DeFi ecosystem, we encountered significant challenges. Achieving speed and cost-efficiency on-chain remains difficult today, despite the advancements in Layer 2 solutions. To address this, we developed zkX App Chain, a dedicated blockchain optimized for derivatives trading.This blockchain operates at high speed, producing multiple blocks per second and offering features like sub-millisecond price refreshes and gasless trading. It aims to replicate the trading experience of centralized exchanges while maintaining the trust and transparency of DeFi.

We employ technologies such as account abstraction to integrate a built-in wallet within the exchange, enabling self-custody of funds across multiple margin accounts. Our bridging infrastructure facilitates seamless entry and trading on zkX through Ethereum, StarkNet, and future ecosystems. This engineering effort enhances user onboarding and provides a compelling trading experience, contrasting with traditional DEXs where transparency and fund security are often lacking.

zkX App Chain ensures transparent trading and order book visibility, addressing concerns about fund ownership and transaction transparency. This distinguishes us significantly. Additionally, we offer two distinct trading terminals, OG Trade and Pro Trade, tailored to meet the needs of diverse users. I'm eager to delve deeper into what sets these terminals apart and why they're compelling choices for traders of all types.

## Q4. What are the key differences between the OG Trade and Pro Trade exchanges offered by ZKX, and which types of traders are they each designed to serve?
This year, as we assessed the landscape of crypto exchanges, it became clear that most offered identical trading terminals and user experiences. Recognizing the need for innovation, we set out to create something unique and engaging, leading to the development of OG Trade. OG Trade is a gamified trading terminal featuring 30-minute trading competitions in three leaderboard categories: volume, profit, and loss. Yes, we even reward losses because every trade contributes to the platform's long-term health.

On OG Trade, you'll find a live 30-minute countdown, real-time ticker tape of trades, and a dynamic leaderboard showing your position based on your trading metrics. Top performers earn exclusive NFT badges valuable for future airdrops, adding an exciting element to the trading experience. Fun messages on-screen provide encouragement or playful banter based on your trading actions, enhancing engagement.

On the other hand, ProTrade caters to serious traders with advanced tools including limit orders and soon, conditional orders. It offers comprehensive trade details, breakdowns of funding rate payments, and high-performance APIs supporting over 2,000 requests every 10 seconds for DeFi strategies.

OG Trade appeals to traders seeking a lively, decision-driven experience, while ProTrade supports long-term strategic planning and sophisticated trading strategies. Both terminals host daily competitions, distributing zkx tokens and participating in the StarkNet incentives program, enabling traders to earn stock tokens concurrently.

## Q5. Could you explain the tokenomics of $ZKX and its core utility within the ZKX ecosystem?
The governance token of zkX protocol is zkX token, and starting tomorrow, users can stake it for any duration of their choice. While staked, zkX token holders earn USDC from the platform's revenue, which increases with higher trading activity and liquidations. This straightforward tokenomics model rewards holders with sustained value over time. All airdrops are vested to ensure controlled inflation and supply growth, with team and investor tokens subject to long vesting schedules for stability.

On zkX platform, everyone accesses the same smart contracts and interfaces, ensuring equal opportunities. Community members can claim and stake zkX tokens at their convenience. Currently, 18% of tokens are allocated for trading incentives through 2025, including zkX and Stark tokens. An additional 15% is reserved for community airdrops, with eligibility based on activities like earning OG Trade NFT badges and platform referrals.

Stakers who commit for longer durations earn a larger share of platform earnings, encouraging long-term commitment. This approach emphasizes community ownership and gradual token distribution. Tomorrow marks the second airdrop, with more planned throughout the year, reinforcing our commitment to equitable distribution and community engagement.
