Calculation of Position Value

Position value refers to the trader's current position value, which may change accordingly to the last price.

According to the different contract type, the way to calculate the position value is also different.

## Calculation of USDT Contract and Quanto Contract
Position Value = Position Size x Contract Multiplier x Price

Take BTC_USDT contract as an example:

If the user buys 1,000 BTC_USDT long contracts, with the current mark price of 33,000 USDT, then the current position value of the user is calculated as follows: 1,000 x 0.0001 x 33,000 = 33,000 USDT

## Calculation of Inverse Contract
Position Value = Position Size / Price

Take BTC_USD contract as an example:

If the user buys 1,000 BTC_USD contracts, with the current mark price of 31,000 USDT, then the current position value is calculated as follows: 1,000 / 31,000 ≈ 0.032258 BTC

## Note
1. Contract Multiplier refers to the size of every single contract. Please look up the details on the [Contract Details](https://www.gate.io/futures_info_new/futures/btc/BTC_USD#baseinfo "Contract Details") page.
2. The unit of the contract size in the above calculation formula is in "contracts", if it is in currency, there is no need to take the contract multiplier into account.
3. The price refers to the mark price. 
4. The position value is calculated by the currency of settlement, in which a position value of a Quanto contract is displayed accordingly to the spot price of the corresponding currency. The actual handling fee, funding fee, etc. are calculated using the position value in settlement currency.
